Springsteen and Billy Joel for Obama

That defender of the middle class, Barack Obama, will host a New York City fundraiser Oct. 16 starring Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen, with tickets costing up to $10,000, reports the Huffington Post.

It will be the first time the 59-year-old troubadours will share the same stage, which may have something to do with the price. HuffPo:

Even in an election year with some historic "firsts," that's pretty notable. And pretty expensive: balcony tickets go for $500, "premiere" seats cost $2,500 per person, and lounge tickets go for $10,000.

The Grateful Dead is reuniting for a sold-out gig in State College three days earlier. Tickets are going for a high of $175 on Pittsburgh Craigslist.
