I didn't see that you had just mentioned that the entire nation would see the game. I asked earlier if there were other regional games that would supercede the Pitt game in certain parts of the country, and never seemed to get a black and white answer on that until I read "Mr. Pederson's" (from Cheers?) remarks.

All are excellent questions and remarks. Very curious as to how the ratings usually, and will, turn out. I would LOVE to be going to a night game, but having the whole country be able to easily watch it (unless you're rubbing your eyes at 9am on the West Coast I suppose) is absolutely worth it.

Besides, Pi tt will get enough exposure with the ND, WVU and Cincy games all on the networks. A night game would've created a much better atmosphere. That would be true in most stadiums. Just have to make the best of it.

EJAB not sure if your comment was for my question but I was just asking if you compare National noon telecasts to prime time telecasts which gets a higher rating with more viewers? In reality it doesn't matter to me just wondering that's all. I'll be there regardelss if it were at 2AM, noon, or 8pm.

re: Pitt-Cincinnati at Noon

Not sure if I'm stating the obvious here or not, but Pitt's game will be available "to every TV in the country," according to Steve Pederson.

But yes, it is a HUGE head scratcher as to why the ACC is on during primetime, and not the SEC (and the Pitt game).

I just wonder though if the Noon national telecasts get the same numbers and ratings that prime time games do. I like the fact that the entire nation will ge to see Pitt play Cincy hopefully both teams can put on a great show. I am really interested to see what kind of crowd turns out for this game. We'll be there tooting on the boys for sure.

Quite frankly I do not know if there has been a bigger game for Pitt in the last 20+ years than this one. This is the best all around Pitt season and best team I can remember since the early 80's.

Hail to Pitt!

Beat Cincy but first take care of those nasty EERS !

If anyone who has watched football all season can honestly say that the with the exception of the SEC matchup the Big East Matchup will not be the most exciting game I'd love to hear from them. Instead they decide to go prime time with Clemson or BC vs. Georgia Tech and Nebraska or Kansas vs. Texas????

I really have to wonder if the powers at ABC and ESPN have any clue whatsoever about college football when you slate those games over the SEC and Big East matchups. You have 4 top ten teams that collectively I would match up against any four teams in CFB this year in my opinion.

The noon games this year have been good for Pitt, win wise, but the facts are the crowds have been very weak. I'm not one of the people who can't get up and be at the stadium so please don't go there as an excuse. I figure if a 40 yr old guy can make it there with two women so can 18-21 yr old students. Pitt needs you to show up like you did against ND. That's the key Paul this game means a heck of a lot more than the ND game and there was 65K plus there. No excuse for Heinz to not be filled just as much come December 5th at 12pm.

Hail to Pitt!
