NEW YORK -- Pitt practiced this afternoon at nearby Baruch College, but senior point guard Levance Fields did not take part in the workout. That marks the third consecutive day that Fields has sat out practice.
Fields, who injured his tailbone and groin after a nasty spill against Marquette one week ago, did not practice last Thursday or Friday, but played 37 minutes in Pitt's victory against Connecticut on Saturday. Look for more of the same tomorrow when the Panthers play the winner of tonight's game between West Virginia and Notre Dame. Fields is being termed "probable" by a source at PItt.
