This is almost unbelievable:
When Washington, Pa, native and organist-spectacular (not to mention pedagogue at Juilliard) Paul Jacobs performed last night (Nov. 8) at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Anchorage, Alaska, it meant he has performed a recital in EVERY state in this fine union. That is even more amazing considering he is barely in his thirties.
I was once on a plane to Colorado and to my surprise saw Jacobs. He was en route to Hawaii, I believe. So he has been simply working like crazy to spread the word about the power and splendor of the pipe organ. Congrats to him (surely this is a record!).
