Why don't they change the date to Monday, August 10th instead. Do you know what it's like for transportation on a Sunday to get downtown? Little to null. Is the real reason why they are changing the original weekday opening date of August 5th to a Sunday, August 9th to get more people, would be crazy. Thanks to our Pittsburgh Port Authority, the bus service in Pittsburgh stinks, especially on weekends! Get Real! Change the date to a weekday, so we can get there with no problems, and not have to wait 4 hours for a freakin' bus. You're making a big deal about the opening, but not a big deal on how to get there!

So years from now when it's apparent that there's all sorts of corruption at the state level and the money trail goes back to casino operators, what will they do then? This is going to be fun to watch.

A strip club is the missing piece for the complete North Shore family entertainment experience.

Daddy could deposit the rug rats at the Carnegie Science Center and Mommy at the North Shore Casino, prior to receiving a "tasteful" lap dance and, perhaps, a therapeutic "massage."

The new strip club should have a catchy, family-friendly name that harkens back to halcyon days of early, wholesome, black-and-white TV. Oh, say, something like "I Loved Lucy" or "Leave it to Beavers."

Ohio Tracks were built out of the cities away from schools and churches or your city because of the smell of the horses. Slots away from cities is great, look at Presque Isle out in the middle of know where.

The race commissions plan is Different because its State Run and 50% tax for state education. K tru 12 and Secondary. Kent state is now $23,000 a year, Indiana state colleges are $15,000 payed for by slot revenue)

Penn Gamings plan for 4 cities casinos only pays 33% tax., they pay 54% NOW IN HOLLYWOOD PARK CASINO IN PA.Thats too low, Do they think were dumb in Ohio.

50% is fair and the tracks plan must improve there building by $80 million in construction in this plan and pay $50 million in license fees x 7 thats $350 million up front ! And this does not change the constitution!

If were going to do it this is a better plan for Ohio.

Ohio race commission 3/19/06 approved 2000 slots at 7 tracks under the lottery or race commission without vote of the people, if the governor signs it. The good thing is its State run at 50% for the state and schools better than 33% in the penn gaming and Gilbert deal with 4 casinos on the ballot Nov 3 2009

It would be great if they could find some way to keep Ohio's racetracks open. I can vouch for the fact that a large percentage-well over half-of the license plates at Mountaineer are from Ohio. It only makes sense at this point for all states to have slots, because so many do you're just "playing defense" by keeping your gamblers from going across state lines. Table games are the next step, to be followed by...Nevada is, as far as I know, the only state with legalized prostitution so far.

Good grief, when I first saw the baby and burrito picture, I thought Nadya Suleman had cut a promotional deal with some Vegas casino to throw in one octuplet with every gigantic burrito purchase.

If I had $19.95, I'd add six cents and buy 23 shares of MTR Gaming Group stock (MNTG...NASDAQ GS). Mountaineer Casino has been booming for the past month, because of several new promotions and the ongoing installation of new penny slot machines.

Why waste two sawbucks on a colon-clogging, flatus-producing, heart attack wrap, when you can purchase so many shares of gaming stock for so little.
