Ten@Ten with Big Ben

Big Ben appeared on the Jay Leno Show last night during the Ten@Ten segment in which a celeb is asked 10 questions by the host.

Watch the segment.

What we learned about No. 7:

  1. Ben wants a ShamWow
  2. Ben also wants the Billy Mays endorsed fix it!
  3. Don't shake his hand in the John.
  4. Ben cries at Rudy.
  5. Ben lacks the comedic chops of Peyton Manning. Or the pipes of Terry Bradshaw.

Which is to say that he wasn't that funny (or terribly interesting), but hey Tom Brady isn't exactly Mr. Personality either. Anyway, this is second time in as many weeks Big Ben has appeared on prime time. Next week, he'll discuss the intricacies of Health Care reform with David Gregory on Meet the Press before teaming up with the irrepressible Hines Ward on a zany episode of The Amazing Race.

It's ok Ben. You weren't cover-your-eyes bad on Jay, but stick to your day job.

The more Ben is on TV, the bigger goof he looks like.  I figured we'd get to see him on SNL if the Steelers won another Super Bowl, but now I'm not so sure I want to see it.  His best entertainment television venture so far has been "Shaq Vs", and Shaq and Chuck Batch stole the show in that one.

Maybe when hollywood remakes the "Naked Gun" movies (as they've clearly run out of ideas), Ben can replace another non-actor/football player:  OJ Simpson.

BB: I agree. And that's not a knock on Ben, or his personality or intelligence, but he doesn't come off well on TV. And that's OK. But its kinda hard to watch at times.
